Let's Get Personal

Let's Get Personal is our social responsibility platform, our core value system, and our mantra. Through it, we prioritize personal, meaningful connections in all facets of our business because we believe that personal is impactful.

what matters to us

Empowering

Women

We manufacture our products exclusively at women-owned factories to empower women in the male-dominated manufacturing industry. We are also committed to doing business with and hiring a diverse group of majority women, women-identifying, or non-binary individuals as we continue to grow our business.

Ethical

Manufacturing

Our factory in India is SEDEX certified, which means that they operate responsibly and sustainably, protect workers, and source ethically. We also travel to India (pre-COVID days) to spend weeks at a time working alongside them and sourcing available fabrics and trims in their local markets. They truly are an extension of us and embody the values we hold dear.

Combatting Human Trafficking

We partner with non-profits that combat human trafficking to develop products and initiatives that support survivors. All of our partners use approaches rooted in human rights, which combats sensationalized information that exists in this space and gets to the root cause of what makes individuals vulnerable. Our Approach to Anti-Trafficking Work

Human trafficking is the world's fastest growing crime, affecting an estimated 40.3 Million people, but it is rarely talked about in our everyday conversation aside from sensationalized media. Our goal is to change that.

Since our launch over a year ago, we've partnered exclusively with non-profits that take a human rights-based approach to anti-trafficking work on products that support survivors through both in-kind and monetary donations. These products also serve to educate and connect our community to the cause in distinct and tangible ways.

As we grow, we'll take further steps to track and verify our overseas supply chains to protect individuals made vulnerable to trafficking.

Our Latest Give Back Product

The Thrive Pillowcase is 100% silk, ethically-made, and created in partnership with the rights-based anti-trafficking coalition Freedom Network USA.

Nothing evokes home quite like a pillowcase, which is why it was chosen to illustrate the role homelessness can play in trafficking. Housing is a critical resource in maintaining the safety and stability of survivors after a trafficking situation, and a lack of trauma-informed housing can make individuals more likely to be exploited.

To ensure survivors' voices were front and center of this product, all messaging on the product -- from "Thrive. But first, sleep" on the outside, to a special tag on the inside -- was composed by a survivor consultant. "Thrive" is a word often used to describe a survivor's journey towards healing, however, our hope is that both customers and survivors connect to the message and that customers in particular keep this cause at the top of their mind as part of their daily routine.

For every pillowcase purchased, one will be donated to a survivor as they pursue safe and stable housing with one of these incredible organizations: Mosaic in TX, Tapestri in GA, Womankind in NY, Advocating Opportunity in OH, and The Lifeboat Project in FL.

Meet Our Women-Owned Factory

Our factory is women-owned and run by a twin sister duo in Delhi, India. We've personally visited them, seen their process, shared meals with them - you get the idea. They also have two super cool dogs that oversee the operations.

We love creating in India. It's known for its masterful embroidery and its intricate textiles - features that are often found in our Harper capsules. We visit markets nearby to "shop" for available fabrics and trimmings to reduce our environmental impact, which is why each style is made in small batches. Click here to read more about our first development trip in India.

Empowering women-owned factories is a benchmark of our business -- now and as we grow. For more behind-the-scenes looks at our factory, subscribe to our email list or visit us on Instagram.
